How does miocon differ from a data warehouse and Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) Tools?

Miocon is focused on caching and delivering an up-to-the-minute current and consolidated view of the customer to your customer-facing and web applications.

Data warehouses excel at gathering data for analytics which can require more data but can also have longer refresh cycles and far fewer users. 

Miocon is complementary to a data warehouse because it can leverage your investment by tapping into the same data sources and analysis. It can also act as a feed for a data warehouse through its built in ETL tools.

We just installed a message broker what can miocon do to improve its capabilities?

If you've connected some or all of your systems together using a message broker like MQSeries, miocon can leverage your investment by connecting through your message broker to obtain the customer information you want to integrate, cache and deliver.

What's the difference between Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) tools and miocon?

Typical EAI tools provide point-to-point real-time business process integration. They allow one system to look-up information in another system in real-time but they do not cache customer information for high volume access. Their access times cannot be faster than the access time of the slowest connected system.

Cross-reference tables are often used to identify objects across applications but they do not support cross-referencing in ambiguous data where no one key uniquely identifies a customer.

Some vendors provide quality process modeling, and miocon will soon include connections to the more popular EAI tools to better enable this service.
